How to fill State Bank of India account opening form 2020

India largest Bank State Bank of India has come out with a online facility to apply for saving bank account. To open online saving account in State bank of India, one needs to apply in the official website of State Bank of India. The applicant needs to fill all necessary details pertaining to his identity and address proof. The applicant needs to later visit the same bank form where he has applied for the saving bank account in the online form. The bank official will scrutinise the documents of the applicant with the one he has uploaded in the website at the time of account opening. Thus the bank account would be created and the customer can make the initial deposit.

Public= If you are normal individual citizen obove the age of 18 just tick on this option.
Staff= if you are family member or relative of the bank staff then tick on this option
Senior citizen= if you are obove age of 60 and wish to open account then tick on this option
Minor= if you are less than 18 years old then tick on this option

Residential status
Resident individual: if you are indian and live in india then tick in this option.
Non Resident Indian: if you are indian but not live in india then tick on this option.

Name( same as in ID proof):  just the write the name by which you wish to open the account in state bank of india. Just write the First name in starting  then middle name in between and lastly surname in the last. As shown in the form.
Maiden name( if any): if you are a girl and married then the your name before marriage is to be written in this plac. Don’t write your mother name in this place.
Mother name: in this coloumn just write your mother name in this coloumn. Just leave one coloumn blank before first and second name while writing your mother name.
Date of Birth: just write your date of birth here in this column.
Gender: just select and tick your gender either male or female or third gender
I.T PAN = just writryout 10 digit alpha-numeric PAN card number
or if you don’t have pan card then tick on form 60 boc.
UID/aadhar No: = just write your 12 digit aadhar card number in this coloumn.
name of father( mandatory if PAN card not submitted)= in this coloumn just write your father name as first name then middle name and then surname at the last.
name of spouse= if you are married then h=just write the name of your partner
guardian name= if you are less than age of 18 then you have to appoint a guardian on your behalf then just write the name of the guardian appointed by you in this coloumn.
city of birth= just write the city where you were born.
nationality= just tick your nationality as indian. In case of non-indian just tick on others.

Country name= just write the name of the country as India in the boxes.

If you live in India then tick on No option, if you live outside India then only opt and tick for this option.

Well in this sectionsif you have to give proof of your identity,there are many documents that bank accepts as identity proof and all such documents are listed below you can choose any one documents which you want to submit as identity proof to the bank. Just Tick on the type of document you want to submit. In some documents there is document number asked so just write the serial number of the document in this section and at issued at option justwrite the place where it is issued and write the expiry date of the document in case of license or passport.

Proof of address:

Choose the type of address you are submitting to the bank. Whether current or permanent or overseas address.
proof of address: now in this option just choose the type of document you want to submit in proof of your address.You can choose any address proof documents from the many option available.
address: just write your address and make sure it must matches with the address in the documnent you are submitting as address proof.

You have to leave this section blank as it has to be filled when you live outside india and pay tax. If you live in India then just simply ignore this section leave it blank.

Leave all these entries under this heading as blank as these enries are only to be filled when you are minor and you are attested by some guardian as done in case of opening of minor account where a guardian attestation is must for minor account opening. In case of normal individual just leave all entries blank.

 

2nd  Applicant

If you want to open a joint account with your close one then that person who will be sharing account with you have to fill his details here in the same way you filled as you filled in your case before in page 1 and 2. The type of Entries are just same and the way is also similar to fill the entries as you fill in your case before.

Now just paste your colour passport size photograph in the left box at the top Left. In case of Joint account the second applicant has to paste his colour passport size photograph on the extrme left box at the top.
place: Just write the name of the  city you are living
Signature(s)thumb Impressions(s) Sole/first Holder: the first applicant has to sign in this place with blank ink only. Make sure to make a good signature because it  the same sign would be used in future transaction with the bank.
the second applicant or the joint account holder has to also sign like the first account holder has done the signature with blank ink only.
Date: Just write the date when you are filling this form.

Type of account

Now tick on the saving account optionto open saving bank account

Saving bank for minors: if you to wish to open the monor account of a person of less than 18 years old can be subscribed from here.

Current account: If you want to open  a current accont then tick on this option.

Service Required

ATM CUM DEBIT CARD
On the first applicant option , tick on required option and beside it  in the boxes just write the name which you want to be printed in your debit card
it can be nick name also.
Like same way the joint account holder can also apply for debit card in the same way 1st applicant is applying.
Please the account to be linked:
if you have already have account in this bank already then in order to link the account with the present account you are opening you have to just the write the account number of that account and the account name to link it.
Both 1st applicant and the second applicant can do it.
Cheque Book: Just tick on required option
Internet banking: Just tick on required option as it help in doing online transactions online  without visiting bank branch personally.
Telebanking: Just tick on required as it same as internet banking
SMS Alerts: just write the mobile number you want to register with the bank so that the bank send you the sms alerts of your banking transactions.
Statement frequency: just tick on monthlu option
phone banking: Just tick on yes or No depeb=nding upon your choice whether you want to register or not.

auto sweep:
This is a very famous facility provided in saving bank account. In this type of service the bank link a FD account with your saving bank account you have to choose a threshold amount depending upon the minimum deposit amount. If your amount exceed the threshold amount by any means either by deposit or interest credit your extra amount obove threshold limit will be transferred to FD account and then you will be paid interest as per the rate of fixed deposit account i,e 8-9% if the amount will decrease the FD will be broken and the amount will be automatically transferred to saving bank account and you will earn interest @3.5%

Nomination:
Every saving account is supported with nomination facility under which you have to appoint a person from your family to whom the bank will pay your deposit in case of your death. If you don’t want such nomination youcan just tick on I do
not want to nominate any person in this account. And sign just besides it. In case of joint account holder the 2nd applicant can also do the same if he does not want to nominate any person in this account.

If you want to nominate in this account then you have to fill a section where you have to fill the entries of the person to whom you want to nominate for this account so that the bank can pay him the your money after your death

detail of deposit: Just write saving account in account type
Additional details: leave blank
Details of the nomine
name: just write the name of the nominee in this column
Relationship with the depositer: : Just write the relation as to how that person is related to you
address: Just write the address of that person ( nominee)
City/address: Just write the city where the nominee is residing
State: Just write the state where the nominee is residing
PIN: Just write the PIN Code of the area of the nominee where he lives
if the nominee is minor then you have to appoint a guardian in that case and you have to give details of the guardian.
put your signature in the box of signature. The signature should be same as you did in previous page.
date: Put the date you are filling the form”
place : Just write the city where you reside
Tick on option I want the name to be printed in the pass book
Signature of the witness:
Put the name and signature of the nominee to whom you have nominated in your account in the box below.

For Office use attestation: Leave all the entries blank under heading of,  for office use only

Format of Form 60

If you don’t have PAN Card then only you have to fill form 60 but now it is not compulsory because pan card have made compulsory in bank for account opening.
but the entries are filled as:
Full name and address of the declarant: Just write your full name
particulars of transactions: write saving bank
are you assessed to tax: Just Tick on No option
if yes, details of ward and reason for not having PAN card: Just tell the reason for not having PAN card till yet.
Details of Address proof: Just name the document you are submitting as address proof
Verification: Just write your full name accompanied by the date and the day of that particular date.
date: Just write the date when you are filling the form 60
Place: Just write the city where you reside
Signature of the declarant: just do your signature in this place.


So only these entries you have to fill in order to open saving bank account in state bank of India. Aong with this form you have to submit a address proof and identity proof copy. After your account gets opened you have to make initial deposit. Account gets opened in about 1 week nowdays.
