How to fill Bank of India deposit slip/pay in slip correctly

Firstly, we should know what exactly is Deposit slip or pay in slip

Deposit slip or popularly known as Pay in Slip is a small piece of form that is used to deposit money in a concerned account. This form is available in all Bank of India branches. Any customer who doesn’t have access to ATM card or Green card can fill this form to deposit money in a concerned account.

There are two part of a Bank of India deposit slip one is customer copy or counterfoil which is at the extreme left (as shown in obove image) and the bank copy (which is at the extreme right). The customer need to fill both bank & Customer Copy,  the bank retains the bank copy and returns the customer copy as receipt to the customer after doing signature and putting bank seal on the customer copy.

Entries to be filled in Deposit slip of Bank of India:

Customer Copy

Date:  Just write the date on which you are filling the deposit slip to deposit money in your account.

Branch: Just write the name of the Bank of india branch where you are depositing your money in your account

Please Credit: Just click the type of account you are having whether SB/CA/RD/CC/TL

A/C No.:  Just write your Saving or Current account number as stated in your pass book ( Note, please do check your account number twice before submitting the slip  to the cashier).

Bank column: Leave this coloumn blank if you are depositing in cash in your account as this coloumn is only used when you are depositing cheque in your account when there you have to write the name of the bank whose cheque has been drawn
Cheque No:  Leave this coloumn blank if you are depositing money in your account by cash( if case you are deposting cheque in your account  write 6 cheaque number written on the bottom of the cheque)

Amount: Write the amount you are depositing in you account irrespective of either you are depositing in cash or depositing cheque

Total: Write the total amount you are depositing in your account

Rupees in words:   Just write the amount you are depositing in your account in words.

Bank Copy

Date:  Just write the date on which you are filling the deposit slip to deposit money in your account.

Branch: Just write the name of the Bank of india branch where you are depositing your money in your account

A/C No.:  Just write your Saving or Current account number as stated in your pass book ( Note, please do check your account number twice before submitting the slip  to the cashier).

Account with: Write the name of your home branch

Please Credit: Just click the type of account you are having whether SB/CA/RD/CC/TL

Full Name: Write your account name or the name by which you are operating your account

PAN No for Cash deposit obove Rs 49000: if you are depositing more than 49000 rupees in your account then you have to write the PAN card number in this coloumn

Bank column: Leave this coloumn blank if you are depositing in cash in your account as this coloumn is only used when you are depositing cheque in your account when there you have to write the name of the bank whose cheque has been drawn
Cheque No:  Leave this coloumn blank if you are depositing money in your account by cash( if case you are deposting cheque in your account  write 6 cheaque number written on the bottom of the cheque)

Denomination: In this coloumn Just the write the number of pieces of your currency whether it is in denomination of Rs 2000 note or Rs 500 note or Rs 100 note Just write number of pieces  that make your sum of money that you are depositing.

Amount : In the total box below the table write the total amount you are depositing.

Mobile Number: Write the mobile number

Signature of the depositor: Just sign in this coloumn
