State Bank of India has postponed the deadline date for submission of KYC documents after Reserve Bank of India (RBI) direction for the same. Earlier the last date was 31st December 2021, which now has been postponed to 31st March 2022. KYC submission is a mandatory action that all Bank Customer needs to abide by. Under KYC compliance, bank customer needs to submit one Identity and address proof document at the concerned Bank. Failing to submit the said documents would either impose restriction on making any Banking transaction or would result in temporary account closure. Seeing the ongoing pandemic, State Bank of India, have devised various modes by which it’s customer can submit their KYC without actually visiting SBI branch personally. Here’s the various online mode through which you can Update your KYC online at SBI by submitting your KYC ( Know your Customers ) documents.
State Bank of India has newly rolled out a new mode of submitting KYC Documents seeing the ongoing COVID Pandemic. In this mode SBI customers can Submit their KYC documents in form of soft copies on their Home Branch Official email. This mode is highly recommended to all banking customer as it involves hassle free process. You can find out the official email of your home branch on the pass book provided by your Bank or you can find it by watching this tutorial. Submitting KYC via email doesn’t require customer to have access to Internet Banking. In this mode, customer first need to find out their Bank Branch email ID. Thereafter, customer needs to scan their identity and address proof documents. Finally the customer needs to send the soft copy of the documents on home branch official email. Customer must ensure to properly state in email subject about request to update KYC for Account you held with your Bank. In body of email, you need to provide details about your account like your Account Name, Account Number, etc. Thereafter attach the soft copies and send the mail. Once your mail will reach your branch it will be through scrutinized after which your KYC will be updated.
If you are State Bank of India Net Banking users then you can easily update your KYC from the same from there. SBI Net Banking users needs to login into to onlinesbi.com and needs to look for link that states update KYC documents online. User needs to upload soft copies of identify proof and address copy. Therefore, the form needs to submitted. After proper scrutiny of your documents for KYC update, it will be updated in your account within a week of application submission.
State Bank of India has also introduced a new mode called Video KYC for KYC documents submission. Customer needs to visit sbi.co.in and look for option that says Video KYC. On selecting this option, it will connect you to SBI Executive where you need to show your Identity and address documents in original during the video call. Once done your KYC will be updated in records.
